Lake Michigan in mid-summer simply can't be beat: the sun high and warm, beautiful dunes as a backdrop, the water clear and warm (well - as warm as it gets!), the winds more manageable, and the beaches full. We launch from a protected area inside the south breakwater and race out on the big lake. VENUE Pere Marquette Park, Muskegon, MI. Launching is from inside the breakwater on the south side of the channel. Weather and conditions permitting, racing will be held on Lake Michigan. The fallback is Lake Muskegon.
